AMX®, the leader in providing simplified solutions in the audio/visual control industry, has today announced RGB Communications will no longer act as distributor for its range of Control Systems and AV switching technologies. RGB has been distributing AMX products in the UK and Ireland and all AMX customers previously supported by RGB Communications will now been supported directly by AMX UK from January 2010. AMX has made several key acquisitions in the last 4 years and now has a range of products that today include control systems, digital content management and distribution, IPTV and video and audio switching technologies.

Commenting on the changes to the UK distribution Kevin Morrison, AMX Europe’s Managing Director highlighted. ‘AMX has a great relationship with RGB Communications and they have been a great partner. However, AMX has grown dramatically in the last 5 years and our product portfolio, increased service and support offering are a challenge for traditional distribution partners. AMX has simply elected to address this by expanding its own sales team in the UK and Ireland from 2010 and I am confident our customers will be delighted with the result’. ‘This is an issue of timing and market maturity and we wish the team at RGB Communications every success going forward’ adds Morrison.
